Bring on the Summer Scents

Earlier this week, my husband (or my mother?) put an air freshener in the bathroom. That would be totally fine if it was this scent:

Instead, they put an Apple Cinnamon scented air freshener in the bathroom. HELLLLOO, it is almost summer, not fall or winter. I don't like olfactory dissonance!

  1. hehe, that just made me laugh! I tend to match colors too, so something pinkish and fruity would work best for me right now :)

  2. i'm completely with you on this!
there are definitely season appropriate scent palates... i'm against food scent in general, but fresh fruit scents are very good!

  3. Too funny and something I am totally guilty of! I have apple cinnamon air freshner in one room of the apartment

Hahaha drop out psych terms like whoa, I get funny glances from my non-grad schools when I refer to my "cohort" LOL!

  4. Who knew there was a name for that?! I'm the same way though...no fall scents in this household until October!

  5. Ahh! Hilarious! I am SO the same way. My husband likes the Christmas-scented hand soap, and there it remains...in both the kitchen AND our master bath. I keep telling him that it's the wrong season for that soap, we should put it away and wait till Christmas 2009.

He responds that we'll probably have enough money to buy more Christmas soap. Now look! It's May, and we're still using Christmas soap. It's killing me.

  6. LOL... I'm the same way :-) But I would take citrus ANY day even if it was winter :-)

  7. Hilarious and yet I totally agree! My husband just couldn't understand why the "sugar and spice" hand soap had to go for a more summery scent.

  8. no winter smelling air freshners in this house...it's time for lemon and tangerine....fun summer smells.

Years ago I found this candle (I do not remember the brand) but it was "Beach in a Can"...and it smelled wonderful...made you want to go to the beach!

  13. I felt the same way about the Muffy post. I was infuriated!!! I was the first to say something on the blog about it. I just couldn't take it anymore. I think someone should turn her snobby a** into the Jr League!!! I am now a follower! Check me out!

  14. Nice to see I'm not the only one who gets crazy about this! My boyfriend started burning a yankee candle called "spiced pumpkin" last week when the "garden sweet pea" was done, and I about had heart failure over it.
