CSN Giveaway!

Happy Monday!

Since I am now up in NY (with my husband!!) for summer break, I thought it would be nice to spread the joy and happiness I am feeling by offering a fun giveaway to all my readers!

CSN Stores contacted me about hosting another giveaway since my last one was so successful. This time I have a $40 gift certificate to give to one of my lucky readers. If you're not already familiar with CSN, you need to check it out! They have over 200 stores and you can literally buy anything on the many CSN websites.

As I mentioned the other day, our landlords are doing a renovation on the kitchen, dining room, and half bathroom while we are in NY. I could furnish the entire renovation just from CSN websites. I am hoping that the new bathroom has a vanity like this:

To enter to win the gift certificate go to any of the CSN websites and let me know what you will get if you win! The giveaway ends Thursday night at 8 pm EST and I'll announce the winner on Friday.

Le Creuset Giveaway!

I am so excited for this giveaway! Last week I was contacted by a guy at CSN stores about an opportunity to host a giveaway for any one of their millions of products. CSN is an e-commerce company with over 200 online stores, including one that sells mailboxes, another that sells barstools, and a site dedicated to cookware. I browsed a few of their stores and found countless things I would love to offer, but ultimately decided that I could not pass up the opportunity to give away some Le Creuset!

So without further a do....

One lucky lady (or guy) has the opportunity to win a Le Creuset 9" Square Baking Dish AND a 5" Baking Dish in Caribbean!According to the Cookware.com website:
Le Creuset's Square Dish is truly an all-in-one dish that you can use for baking, slicing, serving, and storage. Poterie Stoneware can be used in the oven, broiler, or microwave and will not absorb odors or flavors. The durable finish resists chipping, scratching and staining. This beautiful and colorful piece has sure grip handles to go straight from baking to tabletop, making an impressive presentation.

Features:
  • Bonus 5" Baking Dish
  • Bold Caribbean color
  • Does not absorb odors and flavors
  • Oven and microwave safe
  • Durable, non-porous enamel resists chipping, scratching, staining
  • Convenient grip handles
  • Refrigerator and freezer safe
Specifications:
  • Material: Stoneware
  • Dimensions: 9" W
  • Capacity: 1.5-Quart

To enter, please leave a comment with your favorite item from any of the CSN stores. You can receive additional entries by posting about this giveaway on your blog and/or tweeting about the giveaway with a link back to this post. You will get one additional entry for blogging and one additional entry for tweeting, for a total of three possible entries. Make sure you note in your comment if you have done one or both. Unfortunately, I can only accept entries from the U.S. and Canada. This giveaway will close on February 7th, 2010 at 5 PM EST. The winner will be announced on February 8th, 2010.

Here are a couple of my favorite items to help get you started!

Whitehall Products Bone Leash Holder. This would be perfect for Kona's many leashes, and the best part is it can be personalized for free!

Rogar Hammered Steel Bookshelf Pot Rack. If we owned our place I would definitely hang this on the exposed brick wall to save space in our kitchen!

ETA: Ugggggh Blogger!! Why must you be so difficult to format!?!? Please excuse the color/font/size changes. I can't figure out how to make them all the same. Boo!

Caffeine

More body purification news! I know, I know...what is happening to me?

Last week I decided to give up caffeine.

I was never a big coffee drinker, but this school year has really messed with my energy levels (waking at 6 and being at work at 7:15 is hard!!) and I picked up a coffee habit pretty quickly. I was getting headaches like clockwork when the caffeine wore off, and I was not about to start drinking coffee during the day too.

Instead I decided to just cut it out.

I rarely drink soda, so it shouldn't be an issue giving that up as well. The one thing I do drink on a pretty regular basis is iced tea. Unsweetened, of course. I haven't had any since my anti-caffeine moment, but I am pretty sure I will start drinking it again once I am completely headache free. So I guess the more accurate description of this new lifestyle is limited caffeine intake.

I will get my warm drink fix in the morning with hot chocolate and herbal tea and perhaps a decaf Pumpkin Spice Latte every now and then. They make them decaf, right?

Speaking of Starbucks....

Jenn at Jeans Friday is giving away five Starbucks prize packs! Head over to her blog to enter. Tell her I sent you!

http://jeansfriday.blogspot.com/2009/10/starbucks-giveaway.html

You can enter the giveaway by answering Jenn's super easy question (or follow, blog, tweet, etc.). This not only gives you an entry, but also helps her to win her own prize pack, including Bose headphones. If you read Jenn's blog you know that she travels all the time for work and the headphones would be a welcome addition to her carry-on bag. So go help her win and maybe get a prize pack too!

Gap Born to Fit Giveaway Winners!

Thanks to everyone that entered my Gap Born to Fit giveaway! I received more comments on that post than I have for any other giveaway I have hosted. I am glad you are all so interested in Gap's new line of jeans. They really are amazing jeans. I stumbled across this article through Twitter that discusses why and how Gap went about designing the jeans. Very interesting!

On to the fun stuff! I have six jeans certificates to giveaway so here are the winners, as determined by the random website.

Holly Golightly of Holly Goes DC

Beach Blonde of I Teach for a Living...What's Your Superpower?

Sara of This Beautiful Thing

Law Girl of Law School, Love, and Life

Caitlin of A Galway Girl (in Chicago)

E of Some Like it Hot

Congrats ladies! I will email you to get your address and will send your certificates this weekend.

While preparing to pick the winners, I realized the coupons I previously blogged about expired on Wednesday. Oops! I have been out of it and I hope you can all forgive me.

Luckily, the Gap is offering $20 off any pair of their new jeans, so you are all discount winners!

Gap Born To Fit Party!

Last night I hosted 18 lovely ladies at my new house for a Gap Born to Fit party! We all had a great time eating, drinking, socializing, and enjoying all the goodies Gap and Brand About Town sent for the party.

We had so much fun I didn't take that many pictures! Oops! Luckily I took some pictures before everyone arrived and we got a group shot at the end of the night.

Everyone got to try out the new premium jeans in all three styles; Always Skinny, Real Straight, and Sexy Boot.

In an effort to be fair and to make sure everyone got to try all three styles, I had all the girls fill out a card ranking the three styles and the size that fit them best. More than half of the ladies preferred the Sexy Boot, but Real Straight and Always Skinny got a lot of love too!

There was a lot of talk about the overall construction and feel of the jeans; you can really tell that all three styles are high quality. People also noted that the jeans are more on par with designer jeans than previous Gap jeans. The ladies loved how the Gap jeans have a nicer price tag than traditional designer jeans. And while all that stuff is important, I think everyone was most excited about how they looked in the jeans. There was a lot of talk about the jeans being sexy!

In addition to sending the jeans, I got some snacks, bowl, digital camera, jump drive with a short movie about the jeans, and a digital video camera! How cute are the M&M's, popcorn, and snack bowl?

Everyone received a reusable tote bag filled with a pair of jeans in their favorite style or a certificate to purchase their favorite at Gap! They all loved being able to try out the jeans and take home a pair of their choice! By the end of the night, ALL of the jeans found new homes and I am sure their owners will get a lot of great wear out of them.

I also was able to give one lucky lady, Landlocked Mermaid, a gift card for 50 dollars!

I have a bunch of jeans certificates and coupons to give away so leave a comment telling me which style you want/need! Make sure you also leave me an email address so I can contact you if you win. If you tweet or blog about the giveaway I will give you an extra entry for each. You can put all your entries in one comment. You have until Friday the 14th at 12pm to enter!

Yesterday Alson had his last final of his 1L year! Congratulations to my amazing husband for surviving what was most certainly a difficult experience. Last night his class had a big celebration, and of course a few beers were had by all. If you've ever had or seen Molson Canadian, you know that they have silly labels on the back. Last night Alson had one that said:

Answer Honestly
Would You Prefer

To be a vampire
-OR-
A werewolf?

Name the Boatman Geller Preppy Gator!

After receiving Boatman Geller stationery as a wedding present last July, I fell in love with the company and bought a ton of their stationery. I stocked up during the tent sale (which is going on again here) and gave sets of 10 cards tied up with a ribbon to a bunch of family members for Christmas and birthday presents. The stationery is great quality and makes an awesome gift! I also kept a fair share for myself and use it for all my hand written notes.

I also subscribe to their blog, which is how I found out that the Boatman Geller preppy alligator was being retired. Here is an excerpt from the post:

"Sadly, the Boatman Geller preppy alligator has raised some eyebrows with Lacoste and has been deemed to be somewhat confusing when comparing it to the Lacoste icon. Today, we're honoring the retirement of a well noted figure in the Boatman Geller Collections, the preppy alligator. "

I was so sad, because the preppy alligator was one of my favorites, but luckily the people at Boatman Geller alerted me that a new preppy alligator would be part of the collection soon.

Well ladies (and the few gentlemen that read my blog), that day has finally arrived! On behalf of Boatman Geller, I would like to introduce you to the new preppy alligator!!!

Yay! So exciting!

Now, if you notice, the birth announcement is not quite complete...

And that is where you come in!

Boatman Geller needs your help naming the new gator!

Leave me your best name suggestions in the comments for your chance for a special Boatman Geller alligator collection, including a box set, personalized notepads, wine tags, coasters, and luggage tags! This contest will be open until Sunday, April 26th. Also, you must include your email address along with your name suggestion to be considered. We will then review the suggestions, pick our top three favorites, and create a poll on the Boatman Geller Facebook page that will be used to determine the ultimate winner!

Pretty, New Things

After a long, taxing day at work (I am having a hard time transitioning back into work mode after an 11 day spring break), I came home to a nice surprise from Lauren Nicole Gifts.

The other night I read a Lauren Nicole Gifts blog post that said:

"I have a bunch of things that I want to give away (products that I took off of the website because I only have one left). The first TEN bloggers to leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite Easter memory was will get one of these items."

I just happened to be one of the first ten bloggers to respond and I am LOVING the sterling silver engraved pendant she sent me!

This picture doesn't do the pendant justice (the flash makes it look scratched and I think you can see my fingerprint, haha), but it is definitely beautiful in person. I especially love it because it's got my new* monogram.

Now, the good news for you is that Lauren Nicole Gifts is planning to do more "grab bag giveaways" each month for the next few months, so make sure you are subscribed to her blog!

Also, my friend Julie from Wearing Mascara has asked that I check to make sure all her readers know that she recently switched to WordPress. So....everyone make sure wearingmascara.com is showing up in your Google reader because Julie has moved!!

*At what point is this not my new monogram, but my actual monogram? Same as being a newlywed?

Winner!

Happy Monday! I am on spring break this week so I will either be a posting fanatic or lazy and MIA. A lot has happened since my last post (both good and bad) and I have a great deal on my mind, but before I go into any detail about my weekend, I want to let you all know who won my giveaway.

I wrote names on pieces of paper, cut them up, and placed them in a bowl.

Excuse my poor handwriting. The Tucker Blair needlepoint headband goes to....

Little Pink Magnolia!

Congratulations! Thank you to Taylor at Tucker Blair for making this giveaway possible! Taylor is always offering great deals and coupon codes, so be sure to follow their blog and tweets.

Tucker Blair Headband Giveaway!

For Christmas this year, Alson bought me the cutest needlepoint headband from Tucker Blair. I couldn't believe Alson picked it out all by himself (no offense, honey). It is so preppy and perfect!

I love it so much that I have since become a Tucker Blair enthusiast. I bought Alson the golf belt for his birthday and I plan to buy some flip flops as soon as they are available!

I can truly attest to the quality of the products and am sure you all would love them too. With that said, I am so excited to be able to offer a headband (courtesy of Tucker Blair) to one lucky reader!

All you have to do is visit the Tucker Blair website and browse the needlepoint headbands.

To be entered once leave a comment telling me what headband you would choice if you win.

Leave a comment and become a follower/subscribe through a feed reader to be entered twice. If you become a follower or if you're already a follower just let me know in your comment.

Leave a comment, become a follower/subscribe, and tweet/post on your blog about my giveaway to be entered three times.

*Make sure you tell me how many times you have entered!

You must enter by Sunday, April 5th at midnight (EST).

P.S. You can stay up to date on Tucker Blair products (like when those flip flops are available) by following their blog and tweets.
